It is really exciting times as we head back to re-opening one of our St Kilda Restaurants.  As we all know, so many bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés and hotels (along with many other businesses) have had to quickly adapt their business model during this forever evolving situation that has been COVID-19.

Republica St Kilda, like so many bars, had to ‘pause’ business to protect our community.

One of the things we missed the most was engaging with our awesome St Kilda locals and regular customers, who have become great friends over the many years of operating at the St Kilda Sea Baths.

We cannot wait to host live music in the beachside courtyard or catch up again with our St Kilda Beach volleyball crew.

St Kilda Beach and our surrounding cafes, bars and restaurants are such a big part of Melbourne’s culture and our daily lives. We thought we could use this platform to share a local business with you that has taken an extra step in protecting and supporting our community during this time. Let me introduce you to Fairfeed.

Launched by the Smoke & Pickles team, these legends are teaming up with your favorite Melbourne chefs and hospo-stars to create tasty, and affordable meals using produce from local suppliers. The Fairfeed mission is to ‘’feed people fairly, keep people employed and reduce growing stress and anxiety’’. A mission we can certainly all get behind!

All these meals, which are large family portion sizes, are ordered online and available to be picked up from the Smoke & Pickles store in Elsternwick, alternatively, your meals can be home delivered right to your door. $10 from each delivery goes directly to a FairFeed team member who have lost their job due to COVID-19. We are looking forward to hearing and sharing more positive stories like this one, but mostly we are looking forward to opening our doors and inviting you back into our Republica Home.
